Currently a Devops Engineer with Fanduel.com
I've been fascinated with computer security from the first day we got an ethernet modem. My first internship led me down the road to cluster computing and cloud services which has a passion of mine ever since.
I have several years of experience professionally developing frameworks to securely manage development pipelines for Docker containers managed by Kubernetes in both AWS and Azure. This includes monitoring and automatic failover of highly available production applications.
In other positions I've written high performance cluster computing frameworks for complex physics modeling using a cluster of workers and a message queue (still being used almost 7 years later). I've also been employed to help develop structural modeling tools for aircraft using infiniband networking and early Cell processor blades.
I have a strong background in writing secure software, particularly for applications that are externally accessible. My previous projects demanded significant unit test coverage and complete linting, code review, and automated security audits as part of a standard release pipeline. All of the projects I've developed as a lone developer and as part of a team have passed mandated evaluation by professional penetration testing teams as well.
I'm always happy to receive and perform code reviews to improve my team as a whole.
I'm passionate about writing clean code and documentation that will help myself and other developers on my team. I also have experience with globally spread development teams and most major collaboration applications.
